From what I can gather by searching is that you want to choose a Turbo with a lower A/R than avaerage because its so far from the engine. My plans are to use a T76 Turbo with an A/R .68 and no bigger than .82. The problem Is I don't know which option will work best on a rear mount. I know increasing your A/R will make the boost come in later.

If it is an off road project, I work hard to mount the turbo upfront, not in the rear. Depending upon boost levels and whether the engine is stock, determines the boost level. Most mags respond well with 6-8psi. Intercooling never hurts, as the cooler the intake temp, the more spark advance you can run. Timing with no intercooler needs to stay.

My temperatures before the intercooler on average were 130's F during boost. After the intercooler installation the highest temperature I saw was 111 F. This was on typical Miami summer weather so.
